Tap into your creativity! Swivel, swirl, and twirl with exhibition-inspired moves.
Inspired by surreal and body based works of art in the exhibition Uncanny, Queen of Hoops Erin Jeannier will teach participants various spins and movements with a hula hoop. After time to practice, everyone will learn how to make their own hoop!
Erin Jeannier, “Queen of Hoops,” is a variety circus performer who specializes in hula hoop artistry. Based in Baltimore, she entertains audiences locally and across the country, wowing people of all ages with her hoop skills. As a devoted performer and artist, Jeannier is passionate about sharing her craft with others. The workshop is geared toward beginners; no experience necessary. Join Jeannier and NMWA to learn, create, and play through movement.
Firsthand Experiences at the National Museum of Women in the Arts bring contemporary artists together with learners ages 13 and older for hands-on programs that combine creativity, gallery conversations, and discovery.
